Fun fact: "Machines", my first chiptune EP, wasn't supposed to be a chiptune EP. I originally intended it to be the soundtrack to a cyberpunk text adventure I was working on, but didn't finish. Around February of 2017, the soundtrack was done... and then I forgot about it for a while.

When I came back to it, I wanted a different sound. So I stripped it all back and recorded the tracks as chiptunes. I ended up putting bits of both versions of each track together. And the end result was the final release of "Machines" -- over a year after I'd originally said I was done!

And then I forgot about the original versions of the tracks, until I stumbled across them on an abandoned drive. It's somewhere between a time capsule, and a portal into an alternate universe. One where I didn't fall in love with old soundfonts and highly-compressed drum samples.

And, with three years of hindsight, I actually like them a lot. So here you go -- maybe you'll like them too.
